Passing through a horseshoe arch, we arrive at the Plaza de Góngora, immersing ourselves in the Andalusian Quarter. Here, we encounter a Granadian fountain in memory of Federico García Lorca, replicating the one found in the Garden of the Martyrs in Granada, which can be admired at the Museum of Art in Ponce, Puerto Rico.
As we follow the path along the city walls, we enter Calle Entrecastillos, featuring:
- A simple house from Atienza, Guadalajara.
- The Casa de Córdoba, a popular and modest house with two simple door jambs and a covered balcony, whitewashed in appearance.
- A typical house from La Alberca, replicating the popular style of Salamanca.
Continuing down Calle de Carretas, we come across the Torreón Virgen de la Guía from Brihuega, originally located in Guadalajara. This tower served as both a defensive tower and the entrance to Brihuega's castle, adding a touch of historical charm to the Andalusian Quarter.
